Inicio

El laboratorio se inicia en el Instituto de Ciencias Neurológicas por el año 1996 y en Octubre del 2007 se integra a los Laboratorios de Investigación y Desarrollo (LID) de la Facultad de Ciencias y Filosofía de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia donde se ha venido desarrollando pruebas diagnósticas – ELISAS en diferentes fluidos para los diferentes proyectos de investigación de Cysticercosis Working Group en Perú.

Presentación

El laboratorio de Inmunología parasitaria (IP) forma parte de los laboratorios de Investigación y desarrollo de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), así como también pertenece y forma parte del Grupo de Trabajo en Cisticercosis en Perú.
La investigación desarrollada en nuestro laboratorio se orienta al desarrollo, evaluación de métodos serológicos, específicamente diversos formatos de prueba de ELISA para el diagnóstico de Teniasis/Cisticercosis y otras parasitosis. Estas pruebas permiten determinar la presencia de antígenos o anticuerpos en diversos tipos de fluidos y actualmente son utilizadas en forma alternativa a las pruebas diagnósticas convencionales.
